Bed & Breakfast

 Heceta Head Bed & Breakfast
This was once the keepers assistant house they have made into a bed & breakfast. They have 6 rooms that vary in prices. They do have winter rates and offer a 15% discount for returning customers. In the morning get ready to be spoiled,  for breakfast they serve you  a 7 course breakfast. You get a little full towards the end but so worth it. Before breakfast I love to hike up to the lighthouse and then have a cup or two of coffee on the front porch. It looks out south towards the Sea Lion Caves and you hear the waves crashing on the beach.
 Heceta Head Lighthouse
There are tours you can take daily, although right now the lighthouse is getting a much needed facelift. I think they will reopen the lighthouse in August of this year. Heceta Head State Park has a $5 day use fee plus a short hike up to the lighthouse and keepers house. There are other trails to hike plus picnic tables in case you want to eat and look out over the ocean. You can also see the migrating gray whales as they head up the coast.
Queen Anne room we stayed in at bed & breakfast
They have 6 rooms you can stay in. 2 of the rooms have a bathroom inside your room and the others  share a bathroom in the hallway. The first time I stayed here we stayed in Victoria's room and this room has a bathroom! Overall the room was beautiful and charming and belived to be haunted by a former lighthouse keeper's wife. They call her Rue. And I can honestly say there were some things that happened that night I can not explain! The second time I stayed there we stayed in the Queen Anne room, it does not have it's own bathroom. We had to share that with another couple.
